We have elected Voodooie the head of our Corporate PR section here, but before he took his position, we flew him out to Arkansas on a business trip. Why do I sense a logic puzzle coming on? ::shudder:: Hughie, Dewie, Louie, and Voodooie went to the park on Sunday. Louie bought his balloon first and Hughie did not choose a red balloon. Dewie did not have the yellow toy boat and was not wearing a white sweater. (...) None of their toys matched the colors of their sweaters or their balloons. Which of them had ice cream? Hughie apparently spent his money on a not red baloon Dewie didn't have the white shirt and therefore did not buy icecream to spill on it. so VooDooie by elimination must have been the one who had the ice cream. the yellow boat and the colors of the shirts except voodooie's are red herrings. - TJ

When fully and thoughtfully written out, all the colors would have been the best and brightest of "red" herrings. I would have added the fifth actor, too, in a classic logic puzzle, but it would still have smelled of herring. The core information was indeed the Sunday they shared in the park. I could suggest blaming Anton. He mentioned ice cream in another thread, and it is all I've been thinking about all night.
