I am new to 3D graphics from the creation side, so please be gentle!! When I tried to put a character I got into the Poser folder, following the readme's directions I am getting a blank when I open the .pz3 file. The textures are in the proper place according to the readme. Can someone help?? John Cool Runnings

It sounds as though the .obj file isn't in the correct place. Was the download all contained in the pz3? Most times there is a file called 'something.obj' which has to be placed in a specific folder inside Geometries. This is one of the few things in Poser where location is critical, so it needs to be wherever the readme says. Perhaps you could tell us what the download was? It might help. mac

Thanks for the reply. The file was a zip called MASAYUKI's Boy.zip. The zipped file contained a readme, a pz3 file and a runtime folder. There was no .obj file. I saved the readme to a archive I use for them, the runtime I copied into the Poser folder and then opened the pz3 in Poser. The file opened but was blank. The runtime, when I went back and checked had a folder called Texture in it. Inside that one was a folder called Kenjitexture and in that one were 4 .jpg files and a .bum file. Wrong location does sound like a likely suspect since the file opened blank. It had no obj to see. John Cool Runnings

Then perhaps the file you downloaded is based on another figure which you must have in your files before it will work. You might want to check the read-me files about that. Rawn

I went straight to DAZ and bought Michael. I already own Vicki and Vicki 2 so I think I am set. I am trying to not fall into that download everything newbie syndrome. OK, I have done some. Anyway, thanks for the assist. John Cool Runnings
