Hello people :-) I hope that somebody can give me a little advice in how to texture some parts of a model. Let me give u an example what i tried... Im using the skeletonwarrior that has a spear in his hand. If i load the figure the skeleton is fine but the spear always appear in yellow, green or magenta :-( Even AFTER rendering it still have this weird color. How can i chance this ? I already tried to chance the texture in the materials menu but even after changing its still the same green spear as before. It would be great if somebody could tell me how to make it look like a simple metal or simple grey spear !! Thanx Your Supanubie :-)

I suppose the spear has the yellow, green or magenta color as object color. This is probably seen through the texture when rendering. Change the object color to white and see if that fixes it. Be sure to change the object color for ALL the parts of the spear (all parts in the upper right hand side pulldown menu in the Material panel)

Make sure the not just changing the "Preview" texture of the spear. If that's not it, go to UVMapper.com. you can read the tutorials there and download the free version of UVMapper. With that you can make sure the spear is mapped - texturing an object that hasn't been mapped is like trying to use watercolors on a glazed surface.

You can also check out the tutorials on RonKnights site - LOTS of good info for newcomers on texturing, there.
