Hey Everyone!!! Does anyone know how to do a realistic gun blast in Poser? I go everything down basically except for that tidbit... Any takers? CAT

if you made a muzzle flash prop, it could be done with scaling, I've done laserblasts that way, if your using propack, you could animate the materials to get an even better effect

Appreciate the tips... Do you have any examples I could look at? CAT

here's a link to the laser animation, I'll throw together a quickie muzzle flash prop and see if I can do a machine gun burst

thanks, here's a quicky machine gun, the timing is slow, and the prop is crude, but it gets across the general idea :)

OOOHHHHHHH!!!! I see... Thanks Man!!! Do you happen to know of anyone doing animations with action sequences such as these...using guns and smoke?

The 4th Party ( ) posted Mon, 05 August 2002 at 11:46 PM

hmmmm, smoking gun, the smoke prop would be easy enough to make, and shouldn't be to difficult to animate, and I supose with a good transmap, a gradiant(sp?) perhaps, it wouldn't look half bad. but, to answer your question, I myself am not aware of any such action sequences done in poser, but who knows there may be, or may be soon :)
