I hope you'll forgive my ego here but I've been busting to tell all my friends about this project, Rena and I have been involved with creating advertising for the Atlanta braves ad agency and finally got permission to post some images.....the final posters are going to be huge with the largest standging 68 feet high........have a look at http://www.poserworld.com/portfolio1.htm Steve

Wow. Impressive stuff! And here I thought my "well, they might be used in the tutorial, and the ad looks good, but we don't have enough money to run it yet" stuff was impressive... ;-)

And just to clarify things here...it was STEVE the one who made the baseball uniform texture! (You can never guess how creative you can get when your helping hand is attending her son in hospital and leaves you all alone to meet the deadline! LOL!) All I can take credit for is the baseball mitts texture and boy..is that going to be a HUUUGE one! LOL! rena PS: Sorry steve I let the cat out of the bag but I wanted people to know that if you wish you can do a whole lot more than just 3D modelling...and you're darn good at it! :o)

Very Impressive. Now you understand you will have to take some photographs of the posters when they are finally displayed once the season starts and to post them here. realy really nice looking work jje

Really good ...and congrats to you both for landing this. Rena, the mit is astonishing! How did you ever manage not to put a few flowers or frills on it, though?? ;-) Foxhollow

Terrific you two. When I get to Atlanta I'll have to look for them. The textures are really good and authentic looking. Diane B

Really Amazing! I do live just outside Atlanta and would be more than happy to grab a pic or two. When are they expected to be posted... and any idea of possible locations (Around Turner Field or highway billboards)? Visque

steveshanks ( ) posted Wed, 08 March 2000 at 1:47 PM

Thanks Visque :o) I have no idea where or when they'll be posted but the have gone off to the printers so not long I guess .....the smallest is 14 x 48 feet though so I guess they'll be highway boards :o)............Thanks, Steve

An idea folks...can anyone supply me with a baseball uniform image of an old times baseball team that no longer exists? That way I could make a baseball texture for that item (yes, it is included in CD2 but NOT with the Braves texture) and you will laugh at what I came up for it since I can't texture it with any existing team logos due to copyright problems...well? (Actually the idea was forwarded to me by Jim Moore when I was desperate of what to do with such a specific mesh...and I think it's a good one!) So what do you say? :o) renapd PS : Preview of the alternative solutions I chose for that uniform in CD2, will be posted in a while! But promise NOT to laugh! LOL!
