I'm trying to buy several items with my credit card, and every time I try to complete my order I get the error- security failure. data decryption error. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Yes, Our store uses the latest security features and you must use a newer browser to support this. Make sure your browser is capable of 128-bit data encryption. If on a PC you must use: IE 5.5x Netscape Navigator 6.x Netscape Communicator 4.7x If on a MAC you must use: Netscape Navigator 6.x Netscape Communicator 4.7x If you continue to have problems please let me know. I'm having the same problem, I use a Mac with IE5 and it HAS 128-bit encryption and still gets the message. After reading the previous threads I went and got the "latest" upgrade for mac IE version 5.1.5 and after installing it I still get the security warnings...any suggestions? (besides changing my browser)

Just wanted to post this in case some other mac users were having the same problems.....I couln't get the netscape browser (couldn't download for some reason) but found another browser called Opera5 about 2mb in size and it seemed to work just fine. Just finished making my purchase and NO security problems:)

ClintH ( ) posted Fri, 09 August 2002 at 8:27 AM

Great news. Opera is a cool browser. Thanks for the follow up. Clint

Would AOL6 count as an out of date browser in this case? It has worked in the past for placing orders here, but if this was a recent change perhaps its no longer any good? I have tried on 2 different computers four times now to place an order, in all instances after submitting creditcard details I got a "page could not be found error". I checked my Purchase History / Downloads page to see if the order had gone through and as far as I can tell it has not. Would AOL7 work with the new system?

What browser does AOL use? Is it IE or do they have their own. I'm not familiar with the tools provided with AOL. Clint

Well AOL has its own browser, I suspect its based on IE, but cannot be certain about that. I'll give AOL7 a shot and see if it works, if not I will see if a new version of IE is on a magasine disc somewhere...

Ok - You can always place your order via phone if needed. Clint

AOL uses Internet explorer. Not sure which version they are on.. probably 1 version behind the current one.
