Subject: To Move or Not

I am putting off buying Mover 4 until I can find a good reason to do it. Hopefully some of you can help! I do not use a lot of Poser figures in my animation work. Is it worth it to buy Mover for any other reason? It appears the only thing I will gain is twinkling stars, spin and vibration. If there is more to it speak out and let me know. Thanks!! Michael

The greatest interest to buy Mover4 (without the very greatest reason to import Poser animations) is that you can do network render with it:-) Guitta

Well I just set my PC rendering my first full animation with Mover4 and it doesnt use any poser animation. All of the vegetation in the scene (20 palm trees and some reeds and some other plants) have a 10hz vibration applied to them so they appear to be moving in the wind. I've used rotation to get the camera to do a full fly round a central object - this could be done with the vue before but it was easier to type in the exact rotation rate I wanted from the camera. Hopefully I'll be able to post it on my web site next week sometime once my poor PII 450 gets through rendering...

Does anybody know if Mover will work with Poser 5? I am tempted, but since I am going to be upgrading to Poser 5, I would need to be sure of compatability first. Obviously, my main use would be for Poser animation.

Thanks all for the replies. Impish makes a great case as I have been scratching my head for a year now on how to easily animate wind moving plants. I guess I better count my pennies. Michael
