Hey, there's a really fun contest called "It was a dark and stormy night" that runs each year from San Jose State University. It gets submissions from all around the world asking for the worst opening sentence for a story or novel. I'd thought about running a contest here for worst sentence, but the contest is copyrighted. I suppose we could do something for the worst ending sentence, but I don't know how well that would work. ;-) On the bright side, there's plenty of time to get ready for the 21st annual contest!

the worst sentence that started a book.. When I was younger i read a book.. can't remember the name of it but i remember the opening page.. it was a wet blue rainy morning, I know cause I was there. The rest of the book was even worse.
