Hello Renderers,
I have a question concerning the cross upgrade from Bryce 4/5 to Vue. This may be perhaps a little OT but E-On hasnt answered me yet and perhaps you people can help me. As a Bryce user for a very long time who was ever disappointed of the fact that there was no easy implementation for Poser I am very excited about Vue and Mover. I always liked Vue renderings better than the one of Bryce, but as a Mac user I had to wait for the OS X version. My question is: I found the possibility on the E-On website to make a cross-update from Bryce 4. It seems that this offer is only adressed to USAmericans and Canadians (or am I wrong?). I am from Germany and I really like to upgrade from my Bryce to Vue and Mover. Is this possible? That would be really great.
Thanks in advance

Sascha

Sascha, no problem. The upgrades are in english, but e-on has a special patch which you unzip and then put the files in your Vue root and it becomes German:-)instantanely or French (for french people. The User Gude for Vue 4 is translated to German (and French) also. Mover 4 has to be purchased apart. Here again, it becomes the language you choose (German in your case). Have a look at the address above. And here you have the prices in Euro http://www.e-onsoftware.com/Home/PriceList.php Hope this helps:-) guitta

Hi Guitta, thanks for the answer. My problem is that the PDF which deals with the matter of the upgrade from Bryce 4 or 5 to Vue 4 seems only be adressed to US and Canadian citizens. The link to the price list you gave me says N/A concerning the price of the upgrade in Euro. Is it possible that the update from Bryce is not meant for Europeans? Any idea? Sascha

Ah, yes, that's what I understand about Bryce. Go to the e-onwebsite at http://www.e-onsoftware.com/Support/InfoCenter.php?JavaScriptOK=1& and ask your question there:-) Guitta

Thanks again, Guitta! It seems to be a bit complicated to receive this update offer as an European. I mailed E-On. Hope they will answer and find a solution. Im looking forward to create animated work with Vue and Poser :-) Sascha

Gruesse, Walther

Please Walther when you write in german language here, translate your text to English (as you speak perfectly English). Guitta

ok ok, By the way, your german is not bad as well! ;) Lets see. how would it be to try a german distribution. I have very good experiences witrh innotech (www.innotech-soft.com). Very helpful, very competent. They do have vue, with updates as well but i haven't seen a cross-update on their web site. Maybe you try to call them, ask for Lars Bogh (greetings from me - Walther Beck). Maybe they can help. :)) Walther

Vielen Dank Walther, thank you Walther :-) I just phoned Innotech (BTW - Lars Bogh doesnt work there anymore). They told me they only have an upgrade from Version 3 to 4 so I have to buy Vue for the full price:-( But - hey - its a great application and I am really hot for Mover! I will try www.arktis.de, they are much cheaper than Innotech! So guys, thanks for your help. Now Im going to stretch the credit card! Sascha

Check out Natural Pose 2.1 form bringing your poser animations into Bryce. It is much better than NP 2.0 and it has freeware edition available. Konan

Thanks Konan, I know your software and it is great (Im currently planning to buy Extreme Morph). But I am a Mac user and NP seems only to run on Windows :-( Sascha

Oh, poo. Yeah, I don't have any plans to do a Mac version of NP since it is so heavily dependent on windows (with the automation and all) that it would be very difficult to port to the Mac. That is why I did XM3D from scratch, with protability in mind :) Konan
