I agree with bev. I like the symmetry, too. The structure looks like it's on fire. What's that black line across the opening on top? It's distracting me a bit. Support braces or something? (I see them underneath the side arches as well.) (*

You're right, they're the support braces. I do not see them when I look at the photos. Maybe I got familiar with them since I spent a lot of time inside, and since they're my photos. You may be right to find it distracting.

Maybe a little cloning will do the trick. I don't mind those things, actually. It just adds up to the antiquity of the place. (It's kind of scaring me a bit. I don't think those braces can actually support such a massive structure hehehe...) :-) How old is this monastery? (*
