I'm not upto creating realistic hair props yet so I thought I'd try something easier and came up with this! I thought it quite suited the character pack I am working on right now. I hope to try a few different variations on this theme.

The headband prop is mine too, again in progress. I'm also working on various other items for this character including some basic weapons (sword, spear, etc). I don't have the skills to make clothes yet though so I'll have to leave that part I'm afraid!

If anyone has any suggestions on what props they'd like me to include with this character pack then I'm open to suggestions. Cheers.

By the way, what's everyone using for 3D modelling of Poser props these days? I've heard that Rhino is very good but can't quite afford to splash out on that right now! So much great software, so little money. Same old story. Sorry, I'm rambling ...

Amapi 4.15 is free & I've heard it's quite good for modelling, there's Anim8tor another good one which is also free, Nendo & wings3d are around too, Nendo you pay for but wings is a free version. Then you've got carrara, Truespace, Lightwave, 3dsMax, Rhino, Maya they range from "expensive" right up to "you gotta be kidding" my suggestion for the hair, maybe have it all sweeping backwards, looking good tho, been watching this since you started. My only request would be a few more strands-- I like this "hair" a whole lot. Non-hair hair is becoming a fave of mine. Love the different angles to the curves. Emily

If the face is textured, the way it is, shouldn't the body be textured, as well? Just a suggestion. A very interesting character, though.

Quick responses ... I'm still experimenting with the hair and will probably make a few different variations before it's ready. Yes, the body will be textured in the final version. I just haven't got around to it yet! Thanks for the 3D apps info. I'm trying out a few different ones at the moment but haven't found any that really suit me yet. I'll keep looking though. Thanks for all your comments. Cheers.

Also, try loading an additional spikey hair prop and rotating it, if you want to add more hair. I tried this myself last night and it works OK but can slow things down if you go too wild and load many copies of it! This prop mesh is quite big in size, despite being a simple idea. I tried reducing it but ends up looking too jagged. So I'm limited to what I can do with this particular model. I'll be trying out some new hair prop ideas later though.
