Just for the record Jack, want to define "Hardcore Erotica"? Maybe put that in the complaint/debate forum...could get nasty :) -Darth "It's Rigged!" Logice

Jack D. Kammerer ( ) posted Wed, 01 March 2000 at 11:59 PM

If anyone needs to make sure that their image fits the criteria because they aren't sure if it is Hardcore or not, e-mail it to Ed at edarsenal@aol.com I am sure everyone is pretty aware what is appropriate on this site and what isn't. Jack

In short DL... PG-13 rating!!

CharlieBrown ( ) posted Thu, 02 March 2000 at 12:05 PM

One questiong - the description implies one entry per person but doesn't say this - is there a limit on the number of entries allowed?

Jack D. Kammerer ( ) posted Thu, 02 March 2000 at 12:57 PM

You may enter as often as you like, submissions must be presented within this forum :o) Jack

Darth_Logice ( ) posted Thu, 02 March 2000 at 2:05 PM

Ah, now there's the smiley face I was looking for :) -DL

Hello Jack, Just to be sure that I am correct. Do we select "Post a new message" and upload the images here? In the "Caption" is that where we put the title of the image? And for "Subject", do we have to indicate "March Entry" or something like that. Besides abidding by the rules that product from artists represented by BBay.com, is there any other information needed like, program use for rendering etc...? Is there a gallery that all the entries are centralize for display? Thank you. William (Bill) Tesign

Jack D. Kammerer ( ) posted Sat, 04 March 2000 at 1:52 PM

Hey Bill, Yes, select "Post New Message" In the subject line type "March Entry - "Title of the piece" In the Body of the New message mention which products from BBay.com were used and your other credits that you would like to post (i.e. Programs, models, textures, etc.). Once we get the Contest Gallery added to the forum, we will move everything in there for you so everyone can see :o) Jack

CEBrown ( ) posted Sat, 04 March 2000 at 9:41 PM

I just wish I were good enough to make a decent entry; if so I could probably talk the wife into letting me pillage Davo's stuff... As it is, I'm not likely to be able to have the funding to make an entry. Best of luck to those who can!

tesign ( ) posted Sat, 04 March 2000 at 10:00 PM

Hiya CEBrown, Go for it! Talk to your wife about it. I scrounged, even looking under the bed for loose dropped coins etc..:)in the past to look for enough to buy the models I want. My wife had never agreed to buying stuff like that kuz they are not what we are interested in. You never know what the judges (public) decision is. It may be a very good piece of art with a lot of effort and skill put into it, but that's no sure win either. Just for the fun and a challenge and keep live going, do get a affordable model from BBay.com. You never know you might win and with the cash money, put it back where you spend it and also a little nice present for your dearest wife. There are so much that I would like to buy from BBay.com, guess winning the minimum would definitely help :) Good luck if you decided to participate. Bill Tesign

I have yet to talk her into letting me get PSP 6... And SHE wants that!

chalga ( ) posted Mon, 06 March 2000 at 2:10 PM

Maybe I'm just slow but it sounds like this month's entries can only submit if they purchased somthing from BBAY. Is this correct?

ClintH ( ) posted Mon, 06 March 2000 at 3:11 PM

100% correct. Clint

Stanley - Why is that? BBay is sponsering the contest. (shrugs) We could have a non-sponsered contest with no money to give out as prizes.. ?? But we decided not to. Most of the products at BBay are dirt cheap. Clint

Clint - Is the BBay sponsoring the contest, or is the contest sponsoring BBay? :-) Compared to the cost of custom models from ViewPoint or Zygote, the models and materials at BBay ARE dirt cheap. They're about on par, price wise, with CacheForce, and -- from what I've heard - generally a lot better than anything CacheForce has released.

ClintH ( ) posted Tue, 07 March 2000 at 1:55 PM

CharlieBrown, Glad to hear the info on the quality. We at BBay strive for that. :) To the best of my inderstanding BBay is sponsering it. They are providing some if not all of the prizes. hehe - I see your point.. ;) Good luck to everyone that enters. It should be a great contest. Clint Hawkin-Z GraF-X http://www.bbay.com/hawkins

hey charlie brown, LOVE name! BBay is Sponsoring it! In fact, the folks at BBay are supplying the Grand Prize of $500 while jack and i supply the remaining cash prizes. Which basically explains WHY it is a BBay/Renderosity contest. :) ed

emo ( ) posted Fri, 10 March 2000 at 8:14 PM

I have a question... Do we HAVE to use somthing from BBAY.COM Thanks!

ClintH ( ) posted Fri, 10 March 2000 at 8:52 PM

Emo, Yes, at least one item or product from BBay has to be used in the image. I hope to see your entry soon. Good luck! Clint

If I have already posted the image I would like to submit elsewhere in the Poser Forum as a WIP, can I post it here also - providing that if meets the other entry requirements? Rob

Dreamspinner ( ) posted Sun, 12 March 2000 at 6:22 PM

When is the last day a pic may be submitted and will this become a monthly happening? I like the idea of this contest very much. Verdie Ingram of Dreamspinner

ClintH ( ) posted Mon, 13 March 2000 at 8:16 AM

shadownet - Yes, You can enter your previously posted WIP, just as long as it meets contest requirements. Dreamspinner, March 31st at Midnight is the deadline for entries. Winners will be announced April 2nd. This particular contest is a one shot deal. We will be working on having monthly contests of some sort. Keep your eyes open for details. I hope this helps you both. Good luck to all! Regards, Clint

OK! I just had to ask. I mean, I first found the forums while living in Central time (I'm now on Eastern). The other forum is in Pacific time, and we have members in England and Greece on this forum... :-)

CharlieBrown ( ) posted Tue, 14 March 2000 at 12:16 PM

As to what can be used to make an image valid - 1) Davo's Ovita figure was available for free for five days before it went up for sale on BBay - is this elligible for use in a contest entry? (I suspect no, unless it was purchased, but I don't know) 2) The 3D Comics Collective is running a contest that is awarding some BBay items for prizes; can the winner(s) of this use the items they won for this contest? (I suspect yes, but just want to check!)
