Subject: Preparing to migrate to Poser 5

I dont think this question has been ask, if it has, please forgive me. I want to get my computer ready Poser 5 and I was wondering if there is anything I can do now. The point Im getting to is this is the first release of a whole new version Poser to come from Curious Labs. Currently all poser files are located in the Metacreation sub folder. When I install Poser 5 will it create a C:/Program Files/Curious Labs folder? If this will be the case and I assume it will be, then a considerable number of files will have to be moved. Will Poser 5 look for these files in the same place? Will everything be under the runtime folder in the same sub directories as they are under Poser 4? If not, what would the new file structure look like? Will Poser 5 come with a migration tool? This kind of change would be a problem for the vendors as well. All of the products in the market place would need to have two versions one for Poser 4 and one for Poser 5. Otherwise all of the files will be unzipped into the wrong folders.

You won't have to move any files. P5 is supposed to be able to load library files from any runtime folder structure on other drives and locations.

I think kupa wrote that P5 supports multiple runtime directories, so yo may not even have to zip/unzip.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like they thought of everything.
