Hi guys! I'm new with this poser4 & bryce4 stuff, anyway.. i want to recreate a medieval scene i wonder if there are any templar, dark templar or teutonic knight armors out there and also please let me know if someone is working alrady in these props. bye

Zygote (link on sidebar) has a texture for their knight figure similar to the Knights Templar armor, and Ghost made a good generic knight, downloadable from either the Props Guild or Greylight Poser (links on sidebar). There are several good sites for poser weapons (some free, soem for sale), but I don't recall the URLs off hand, and White Crow (the people with the "free Poser Prop a day" thing on the front page) has put out a few good weapon and shield props as well.

A stop at Lord's Warrior's Blacksmith Shop is a must: http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Foothills/2490/swords/index.html And WireMonger has some Celtic domestic props: http://www.wiremonger.com/

Those are the two I couldn't remember the URLs for!

Geo-metrik sells a lot of individual models (3ds & Lwo) for castles, seige towers, tents, bldgs, and assorted medeaval props, generally low res. Models are not expensive and can be downloaded.

I got Traveler's Dark Weapons CD and it has pleanty of weaponry that would fit well in the era.

Nobody has made a really decent knight in full platemail, though. At least not that I have found. I got a quote from Zygote for them to make one, but the price was kind of ridiculous. Anybody up to the challenge?

What do you mean by "decent" and "platemail"? What century, country, and type armor are you looking for? Jousting, combat, ceremonial...?

Don't get me wrong, some people have made some cool armor, but I am talking about @15th century royal European armor, either jousting or field plate. I don't know if this is what waffen is looking for, but I have not found it.

Are you talking the "Maximillian" plate armor (or AD&D Full Plate, if you're into that)? That would be a tall order (and if you're looking for the even less mobile Jousting Armor or Field Plate that would be even tougher, as it is not symmetrical). The closest thing I've seen so far is Ghosts's knight, available at Greylight Poser and the Props Guild. This character is in more stylized Plate Armor though. Though (now that I think about it) I do have an image of something like this done by a "Dr Legume" in Bryce - I'm not sure where Dr. Legume got the model though...

I'd like to see what you have. I know that armor like this makes posing difficult, I'd just like to se more work done in this field. I do like the idea of D&D plate. I've been working on other types of armor, like chain, ring, and scale mail. Those are just detailed textures, not separate models, though.
