I DL'd a great free multidress, and purchased some mats for it in Renderosity. My problem is getting Vicky to keep the basic dress on. I'm posting a the messages I get when I try to dress her.

first message is because the dress was done with propack and you can ignore it. the second says that the multidress.obj file is not in the right subfolder. find that obj-file and place it in the subfolder you see in the error message

Then poser locks up. This has happened on different products, and I'm a little lost any ideas? :o(

Try deleting the .rsr files for the .obj that's causing the problem... You don't have to delete the one in your libraries, just the one in the Geometries subfolders... Don't know why that happens, but if something corrupts the obj's rsr, you get that kind of error... did that make any sense at all, or should I try rewording it?

Just to make sure with, and going with that particular error, you'd go to geometriesPoserStyle and delete MultiDress.rsr

The OBL's were in the right sub file, and I deleted the RSR's as suggested, that seems to solved the problem of the basic dress, many thanks, but I have a different one now. When I try applyiny mats, the dress works, but accessories like the belt, arm bracers, etc, seem to load but donot show up on the figure. I deleted the RSR's but this time it did not help. I hope I can get it working, the dress and mats are terrific looking.

one of the most annoying things about p4 (IMO) is when you get a bad rsr, and the first thing it does is delete the active oject, drives me nuts... later jb

Yeah, that is really infuriating.

if it's the dress I think it is, then the armbands are separate look in your props

And remember that "out of memory" message is Poser's one-size-fits-all warning for everything.....
