Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 03 12:46 am)
I don't think it's a bug at all.. :) Since you say you can see the red circle and the texture gets loaded.. I also suspect that it appears in the figures drop down list too under your main work window.. :) Well.. all you have to do is select that figure.. go to the drop down list of parts right next to it.. select "Body" and then click on the menu bar on top at Figure properties and make it visible.. that should solve your problem.. Unless of course (as most creators don't make their stuff invisible by default.. and most certainly NOT Burton..) I would suggest you also restore your camera angles one by one.. as being a newbie, there's a good chance you've moved its focus somewhere that the actual items are not visible.. that's another possibility I can think of.. you have no idea how many goofs I've done myself when a newbie too.. till Poser mysteries were resolved with time and patience! :) Rena

Are you sure the .obj-file-pointer in the cr2 shows to the right path, usually a folder in runtime:geometries? Load the .cr2 into a texteditor and look for a line like figureResFile :Runtime:Geometries:BillyClothing:Dress:ChinaDressHi.obj (This ones for BillyT's ChinaDress) If your .obj is in a different location, you may experience the effects you described.

I'm new to poser but I've read a lot about where to put files and what each file is for. I have made sure to pay attention to where things go when I download free items as well. I have downloaded Burton's Cheongsam (Oriental Dress) and for some reason when I click to add it, it acts like something it there, (it is listed under the image, & there is the red circle around it) but nothing is there. The texture is loaded and I didn't get an error message. I have checked and double check that all the files are in the right place but I can't get it to work. I have had this problem with several items I have downloaded for free. ARGH!! What am I doing wrong? PS I have read about Poser having bugs but mine seem to be getting worse the more I use the proggie, it's prolly just becuz the more I get used to Poser the more features I am using, but it's damn frustrating!
