Subject: Camera folder?

thomasrjm ( ) posted Tue, 27 August 2002 at 10:12 PM ยท edited Thu, 28 November 2024 at 3:58 AM

I remember reading that the camera folder can be used to store poses by renaming the extensions. My pose folder is bursting at the seams while my camera folder is empty, biggest headache is mat poses and I'm sitting on a pile of download zips with even more mats. Would be grateful if somebody could outline the procedure or point me to a tutorial or past message. Thanks, Tommy.

Just change the Pz2 file extension to Cm2, and put the renamed files into a folder in the Camera folder.

  1. Change the MAT pose's filename extension from PZ2 to CM2.

  2. Move the MAT pose and thumbnail to one of the Camera subfolders.

  3. There is no 3)

There is a P3dO plugin - PatRenamer available in freestuff (free) - that will rename all your .pz2 files to .cm2 in a second. Just search for P3dO in freestuff. Yarp btw An update to PatRenamer is planned at Seno in coming weeks (September for sure). I'll include a powerfull autonumber feature.

Thanks everyone, especially Yarp. I can't say I was looking forward to renaming all the pz files individually but already have the indispensable P3dO and can't live without it, heading straight to freestuff for the plugin now. Tommy.

There's also a great free app at the link above. Renamer. I use it for everything. mac

You can also put MAT files in Faces by changing the extension to .fc2 - none of the other poser extensions work (apart from cameras). I've tried them all. mac
