Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 05 5:33 pm)
Very sweet. ;] Just from idle curiousity, have you tried body morphs from one to the other? Or just face morphs? And if so, do the boris body morphs transfer to Steph pretty well?

Coolness. Thanks, JDexter - you're giving me even more reasons to want the Boris character. ;] Yeah, I know the feeling. I have a Victoria 2 with all of the Traveler morphs installed, plus all of the useful 3rd party face and body morphs - "fully loaded" so to speak, she's 51megs to load and work with. A lot of overhead in poser... I do the same or a similar thing with my maxed out steph and Vicki/Mike models: I design characters on them, then export and squeese the morphs in morph squeeze, and just load the morphs I need on a working cr2 for image and scene design and exporting to bryce, VIZ or Lightscape.

Ummm... let's see. There's a link to it for download on Traveler's MorphWorld 3.0 site still, I think. Basicaly, it loads an exported obj morph, and strips out everything that's NOT needed in the file, leaving only the "v" lines, I believe. It makes for a MUCH more compact morph... in some cases, depending on what the morph is, and what body part it applies to, a difference of from almost a meg to only a few kilobytes. I've shrunken down a ton of otherwise huge character cr2's that way, but it can get horribly tedious exporting all the morphs, squeezing them, and then loading them on a clean cr2. Especially when you have to sometimes do it 2 - 3 times on the same morph if it gets corrupted in export...

Cool. Np. Traveler might be able to give you a more "techy" explanation on how it does it... I do know it works though.

Pretty lady you have created, JDexter. I'm glad you are getting good use of Boris. I moved the head morphs over too, including some of Mike's morphs. I think Mike's smile morphs look better than those that come with Stephanie. I did not move over the body morphs, as I assumed they would not work well. I may have to see what they look like after all. :) Beth
Yes, they seem to work well too. I agree about the smile morphs, that was the main reason why I tried Boris's morphs. I probably would use Roxanne, but I love Stephanie much more, so I pretty much only use her. BTW, I do use Boris on Michael as intended too, hehe. I think BOris has some great morphs. JDexter

Bah, I messed up the first message. =( I was helping to explain to a Carrara user how to use the Grouper method for Poser figures in Carrara and this was what I worked on to show the results. Carmen was created using Stephanie loaded down with the morphs from Boris. As you can see, she takes the morphs very well. =) I also was dying to try my hand at a portrait shot, I hope you like her.
