Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 15 11:01 am)
When you import the avi or image background, Poser should prompt you if the image is a different size proportionaly to the construction window, and ask you if you want to resize the window to match resolutions. Also you can manually change the size of the construction window by doubleclicking on the upper right hand corner of the window where the current resolution is listed, you can lock the window here as well as change the size, etc. Hope this is what you are looking for, co(V)(V)union
If I understand what you are saying correctly you want to import a single (non animated)avi frame into Poser to use as a background image (say from frame 1 to 100) If that is what you mean, then this is simply the same as inserting a single jpg or tif frame into Poser as a background image. I am not sure why you want to do it this way as it would be easiest to convert the single avi frame into a jpg image first and then use file/ import/ background picture from the menu dropdown in Poser. However, if you want (or need) to do this in Poser using the avi file, try this. Import the avi file using file/import/avi footage. Then select file/export/image and save the avi file (convert it) to a jpg file. Next go to Display/clear background Picture and then finally go back to file/import/background picture and import the jpg image you just made of the avi frame as a background picture. The image will now show up as a fixed background on every consecutive frame. Hope that helps. Rob

hey guys! When you import a backround picture or AVI into poser, how can you stretch it to fit the animation? when I'm bringing in a 1-frame AVI render, it only posts as 1 frame in the backround. aside from copying and pasting and/or importing the thing again, is there any way to keep the backround throught the whole thing? thanks, Mona
