Just purchased this map and rendered it in cinema 4d, but finding hideous seams showing up either in raytracing or in radiosity. Cranked up the raytracing settings but no help. Anyone have this problem in any other 3D app?

those white lines do not correspond to seams on Victoria. Looks like a rendering problem. Suggest you ask in the cinema forum? Lyrra

... notwithstanding those "hideous seams," please repost when you get your problem fixed. It looks EXCELLENT!!! (damn near phtographic!) BTW (#2) - The same problem occurs when a Poser figure is imported into RDS using a perfectly good texture map. The problem is in the rendering, NOT the texture map. I have not pursued a fix for the problem in RDS because I do not use RDS for renders, so I regret that I cannot offer any kind of solution. Lyrra's suggestion to ask the question in the "Cinema forum," is a good one. cheers, (anyway) dr geep ;=]

those seam lines are ugly. have you contacted the maker? poser textures, if done professionally....should work in the "higher end" programs. it is stuff like this that gives poser a bad name among the more serious 3d artistic communites. good luck... poppi!!!

Yuma is a beautiful map, professionally done... which renders perfectly in Poser 4.3 and Vue 4... I bought this map after seeing Yuma in art for a very long time, and have not seen anyone else have these problems.... so it's probably the software? Lyne

I would have to agree! It must be the software. I've rendered Yuma from just about every angel and lighting in both Poser4 and Vue4 and there is no seem problem. Lyrra is correct, they don't match where the seems are on Victoria. There is no seem on her cheek or running across her breast. Stefy's textures are some of the best there are.

You're right Lyne and Lyrra---it seems to have been a rendering problem: not enough samples in the radiosity setting, but I think Poppi is right---there's something about the way Poser textures are made that sometimes create problems I've never seen in any other texture I've ever used. BTW, thanks for the compliments :) this is part of a new Flash erotica story I'm working on.

It may be more the mesh than the textures, per se. Poser models have some unusual quirks: poser's smoothing, square facets, no triangles, etc. It would be interesting to see if this popped up with other textures. Lyrra
