Could you please, to complete our Vue 5 wishlist post there what kind of plants (flowers) you wish to have? We have not got new plants since Vue 4 came out and I'm sure there are some essentials misssing. I will soon establish a "clean" wishlist, wher you all are then invited to vote the most important points. Thanks:-) Guitta

Hi Guitta, I would like to have more, ground cover Flowers, perhaps wildflowers that could be placed in a meadow or field, not just one or two, but enough to cover the whole field. (: Genny

Gebe,
I really like your idea of voting for wishes, but when I went through the thread, I agreed with EVERY wish (except one). So perhaps, we could prioritize the wishlist from most-liked to least-liked.

Perhaps this was what you were thinking of already. How to go about prioritizing an extensive list like the wishlist is another matter, but here is an idea.

  1. Summarize the wishlist with references to the original thread and author(s).

  2. Have each particapating voting member list which wishes they'd liked to pass onto e-on. Each member's list would be sorted in priority order from most-liked to least-liked.

  3. Your job would be to accumulate weighted-votes for each wish. I'm not sure how to calculate weighted votes though. Maybe somebody could help in this regard. What is a good way to value prioritized ballots?

With so many diverse opinions, prioritizing lets e-on know what is most important to the majority of users.

I thought of a way to allow voters to weigh their priority votes.

Each voter would be allowed a 100 points. The voter can then spread these points around anyway they choose.

Here is an example for voter #1:

#3. radiosity - 50
#22. new plants - 25
#18. imported brushes - 10
#6. real clouds - 10
#8. object transformers - 5

Tallying would mean each wishes's points are totaled.

That's my idea. Gebe, if you need to someone to tally the votes, I volunteer. I could plug this into a spreadsheet without too much trouble.

Thanks, Charles, this would be great. Also I will create a list with all the wishes and then send it to you. Is this OK? Or did you see it a different way? Guitta
