Try increasing the frequency of the texture and see if that helps. If not, try a different mapping mode. If that doesn't do anything...the problem is probably with you object. If it's a terrain, make sure it is set to solid, and if it's an imported mesh, make sure to click the solid option in the edit dialogue.
I remember seeing a tutorial about using the 'lit rays' preset to make rings for Saturn. I seem to remember that you need to make sure only the 'B' channel is selected in the diffusion setting of this preset or else the bottom of the object becomes invisible. I think this is correct. I know that only one of the channels is needed and I'm pretty sure it was 'B'. If not, try each one individually. Sorry, I'm not at my home computer or I could tell you definitely.

I need the lit rays material as a texture for a model I'm doing. whatever I tried I ended up with the lower part missing. I need some advice Tnx
