Subject: Digital Camera vs 35 mm Film Camera on a Trip

Paula Sanders ( ) posted Mon, 09 September 2002 at 10:16 AM ยท edited Sat, 16 November 2024 at 1:46 PM

I was not aware that this was going to be a topic in this forum when I wrote my Renderosity front page column to create a discussion. I would like to invite everyone to participate and voice their opinion on the front page so everyone can see it on the pros and cons of taking a digital or a film camera on a trip. Thanks in advance

There's a lot to consider. 1. Many film cameras have better picture quality than the digital. 2. Plus a mid range digital can be more expensive than the film camera to purchase initially. 3. Digitals ( once purchased ) tend to be cheaper for getting pictures than film. 4. Actually I'm not surte about this. But magnetic or electronic cards are less succeptible to damage via x-rays than film. 5. Your film memories will last longer with film prints than typical inc jet printed pics. um where is the front page??? Bsteph
