On the picture that I made, I used boolean to create the crystals, and I ended up with 8148 objects..... Any other solutions? Alekssander

In fact, you can use any 3D primitive from any program (sphere, or others). You just have to edit the object to disable smoothing informations. For one of my first picture in Vue 3.0, I loaded a 3ds skull, applied a crystal material and disabled smoothness... it looks great ! Hope it can helps... Argentium Thri'ile

Myske / MightyPete : I'm going to look for that, but it depends how they look like. :) Thanks. Sittingblue: Thanks. YL : hmmm, got my doubts.. :) Thanks anyway. A.T. : Then I would have to make the hole crystals in, another software that I don't have :.( Not sure they can be made in Metasequioa. Thanks. :)

YA there actually pretty basic set. I was thinking you might be able to use the crystal shape. You need the big sets to do a really good job and then it sucks cause it's a against the usage rules. I was thinking Shape 1 would work if you flipped it over and stretched it out a bit. That would be one crystal 12 polygons. I just looked in the free sample pack again. There is lots of shapes there that will work you just have to flatten them a bit or stretch them a bit. Look carfully. The pill shape ( Shape 1768 ) flattened x wise. Or shape 122 sidways and stretched a bit z Some shapes will even work as is. You can use Shape 1644 as is for the ball. One thing if you stick to the free set you can also stick it free stuff later for others to download. Renderosity will frown on giving away parts of the other sets. Things need to be done before stuff like that can happen.

Here is my attempt: Build time about 5 mins. It's all grouped together. Made entirely from the Not So Primitives Free Set. It's even got lights but no bulbs yet. [ "Chanderlier"](http://www.renderosity.com/artistdownload.ez?Who=MightyPete&fileid=1500&key=939180)

Attached Link: 3D Lapidary

Try 3D Lapidary - lots of free gem models in all kinds of faceted cuts - 3ds models I think - maybe they are dxf. -dg
