Kind of looks like he is living in the 70's .....also I did get that weird triangle on his shoulder....don't know what that is....Sharen

Zrincx ( ) posted Tue, 10 September 2002 at 6:02 PM

Hey! Thats Noel Redding of Jimi Hendrix Experience!!! :-) Thanks a lot!!

VirtualSite ( ) posted Tue, 10 September 2002 at 6:04 PM

Wow... Sharen, that is so incredibly cool.

Zrincx ( ) posted Tue, 10 September 2002 at 6:05 PM

Still missing are: Janis Joplin, Shirley Temple, and Walther Matthau as a kid!! :-)

Okay, did another one, this is Vicky though, having a real bad hair day....LOL....Sharen

KattMan ( ) posted Tue, 10 September 2002 at 6:32 PM

Is it just me or does anyone else notice that the hair always seems like it isn't really part of the image? Most renders using this new hair have seemed that way, almost as though the hair is rendered separatly and post worked in.

SAMS3D ( ) posted Tue, 10 September 2002 at 6:34 PM

No post work here, all Poser 5 - just can't figure out what I am doing....Sharen

Zrincx ( ) posted Tue, 10 September 2002 at 6:36 PM

Holy .... looks like she is touching something very electric!! Nice effect. Thanks.

KattMan ( ) posted Tue, 10 September 2002 at 6:38 PM

Sams3D, I know there isn't post work and that is the problem, it looks like there was bad post work done. Every render I have seen with the new hair makes it look like tha hair was rendered separatly and post worked in. If this is the results from the new hair I'm glad I have to wait till I puirchase it.

More forehead and Sharens "Don" could pass for Art Garfunkel.

Zrincx ( ) posted Tue, 10 September 2002 at 6:40 PM

KattMan; It hit me too, and I think its because it shines the same nomatter if it is on the outside or inside close to the skin! As if there are no shadows anywhere at all.. Are any of these renders done with shadows on ?

Here's one of the family, shadows, but no hair...

Zrincx ( ) posted Tue, 10 September 2002 at 7:00 PM

Cool, looks great, Thanks!

SAMS3D ( ) posted Tue, 10 September 2002 at 7:03 PM

You have to remember Kattman, I am very new at this and don't know what I am doing, so it may look better by someone else's expertise. Sharen

SAMS3D ( ) posted Tue, 10 September 2002 at 7:06 PM

I do understand what you are saying, but some of the renders at DNA sure look better than this...don't you think? Sharen

Zrincx ( ) posted Tue, 10 September 2002 at 7:07 PM

Kattman is not attacking your skills Sharen, not at all. What he points out is that the hair consistence is looking the same no matter what hair types are used in renders.

wdupre ( ) posted Tue, 10 September 2002 at 7:24 PM

I'm sure someone will come up with settings in the material room to fix that problem, it's probably the most complex part of the program for users and I for one am only beginning to grasp it's use and will probably still be scratching my head months from now.

SAMS3D ( ) posted Tue, 10 September 2002 at 7:33 PM

Zrincx, oh I know Kattman is not attacking my skills, I do understand what kattmann is saying, I just don't want people to get the wrong impression from my renders. That is all. I have seen some lovely pictures with the Poser 5 hair and my skills well, need alot of work and just don't want others to think this is all it can do. Sharen

DragonWalk ( ) posted Tue, 10 September 2002 at 7:44 PM

I happen to think it's really nice of you to try so very hard to show us all what poser 5 can do...you go girl!! ;-)
