Another "just in case you wanted to know..." Vicky can wear Judy's dynamic clothing. It works quite well on her. I forgot to save my render though. My first attempt at making Penny play dressup with momma's clothes was a dismal failure, but it pretty much appears you can put any dynamic clothing on any figure. The clothes can also obviously be draped over a chair or dropped on the floor or whatever. Phoenix

Your making my heart break - it will be months before I can save the money up for Poser 5

Ratteler, as far as I can tell the answer is yes to all your questions.

Yes, there is a way to pin portions of the cloth in place, like a sail or a flag. I haven't tried it yet, but it doesn't look like it should be too hard. I haven't tried cloth with multiple figures yet, unless you count the one with the woman in a dress sitting in a chair. There should be no issue with it, though. I don't think wind can me non-global. You can give cloth different elasticity, density, friction, wind resistance, fold reistance, etc. It will take some doing to learn recipes for different kinds of real materials, though. You could make a dynamic catsuit, but thee wouldn't be much point. If you tried to make cloth into skin for a skeleton, it would look like all his muscles and innards had come out... deflated... Might make for a cool :flayed skin" look though. As for part static and part dynamic, I haven't touched those setting yet. They work with the grouping tool and I'm not sure what they are about yet, but they look like they'll offer a lot of great possibilities. Phoenix

I'm thinking about using dynamic cloth for wing-membranes, by pinning the edges to the fingerbones. Should be an interesting experiment.

You can even define different portions of a model with the grouping tool and given it dynamics. Finally figured out how to use the cloth room. But as mention it will take sometime to figure what setting per dial may give a proper affect. Ron

We should all share our recipes for various cloth types.(perhaps formula is a better word?) I just noticed I got My shipping notification on Monday so maybe I'll get my P5 Tomorrow...I hope I hope.

the good thing about the cloth room is that as it uses a technology that's been around for a while in Max, the settings are already known for most types of cloth, all you need to do is look in the right places, check out max/LW forums for those secret settings ;)
