Again a thopusand thanks to Wabe. Walther, you made my day! :) I will check the object file import-thingie tonight to get my BUM-files working, which will make the Millenium dragon look even more realistic. Keep an eye on my gallery for the results. :) Cheers, Phil

The endless ongoing story regarding Poser to Vue on a Mac. The situation was, that on my machine it worked and on others (TheWingedOne) it doesn't. By the way, i even never installed the patch from e-on, on my machine. This import worked from the first moment of Vue 4.1. Okay. The reason we found was, that Vue is not able to find textures wich are saved in sub-folders (see my point on the wishlist!!!). And if that is the case, Vue falls in a very unstabil mode and prefers to crash. So put all textures you are using into one folder without any deeper levels. Then your chances are really good! But here is another result from my test series witch i found interesting as well. Beside the normal Poser format i exported the figure in the different export formats as well to find out wehter there is a workaround. There is only one format wich supports bump maps etc. That is ".obj" (wavefront). The others are supporting the standard Poser textures but are not able to "transfer" other textures, specially when they are sved somewhere else. BUT. The import filter from Vue for ".obj"-files is not able to handle ".pict" and ".bmp" files and can't find this textures anymore. Very surprising, because the import filter for Poser is able to handle these formats. I hope somebody from e-on is reading that as well and solves this problems in the next release. :-)) Walther
