The good news - for the most part, Mike and Vicki textures work well on Don and Judy, respectively. I tried a few random textures with MAT files and they worked normally. (I didn't do the microscope routine, so there may be a few touchups needed, but as far as I can tell, the textures seem to map properly. Even tattoos and detailed makeup had no discernable distortions.

The bad news - the eyes are mapped differently. (They have their own, separate maps.) They also have a material called lenscovering. If you prefer to use a different set of eyes, Cake1, Traveler, or As Shahim, this won't affect you.

Poses also work - but Don's proportions are different from Mike's so some poses may need tweaking. (As shown above.) I suspect the same with Judy, but the initial ones I tried didn't have a problem.

These were quick test pictures after trying a few poses and textures at random. Yes, they look a bit creepy!

The eye mapping has been optimized for high-resolution textures. Eye textures for the P5 figures can take up an entire map of their own, now, rather than sharing with the rest of the head, as is the case with Mike and Vicky.

Wow, that's actually great news if we can use all our Mike/Vicky/Steph textures with the new p5 chars!

cool, no remapping needed unless you're extremely lazy and can't be bothered doing new eyes! eyes are fun to do :) hmm, i wonder how they got them to fit mike and vicki templates... i thought daz had nothing to do with their development, so cl deliberately chose to fit mike and vicki templates for new p5 figures??? that's nice! :)

Blink Ratteler - you may have hit on something!!! Catharine Harders has an image where she mentioned something about fitting a texture to Mike in the face room. This may be what she meant. I'll see about playing with that tomorrow if someone doesn't beat me to it. If you're right, you're a genius!

I've had problems with reoccuring "please locate materials" dialogs using cake1's eyes. Besides the fact that they are VERY washed out. At one point I had 36 "please locate XXX texture" which I know positively that there were not 36 instances of the map being used. Thats the 3rd bug I've found(and yes, its repeatable) in about 5 hours of play.

The P5 figures do not have head shape morphs in their CR2 files. They are accessed in the Face Room and come from a single file that is binary and unless or until some new tool is developed is a fixed component. The Face Room is about textures and morphs. Additional shape morphs can be added to the CR2 of course. I am not sure how they will interact with the Face Room magic. As for 36 materials calls: If you open the OBJ file and look at the f section, you will see that the usemtl lines within a group are shuffled like a deck of cards. I have seen figure where a material only has one line before it switches to another. There may not be 36 separate materials, but there are 36 usemtl lines in the obj file - a lot of them are duplicates.

Jaager, since you are the morph Guru on hand please answer me this where is the nose width morph in the face room couldn't find it or maybee i'm missing something.

Trav did the head, but I do not know who did what is in the file in the Face Room. He went wild with the expession morphs though. I was told that the Face Room file might not be open to change by 3rd party. It is binary and *.gz does not open it. The only thing I did with the head was neck level. So, to answer your question = I do not know.
