I will make this short and sweet, Poser 4 loaded on c drive in it's origial installed directory Poser 5 loaded on c drive in a directory I created, (it's in Program files but a new folder) Is that why Poser 5 is that much slower to boot up and work with? Why do I ask, I loaded it on my laptop to use when I am away, that does not have Poser 4 on it, it was a clean install, laptop not as powerful as main computer with both programs....laptop is so much more faster. Very interesting... I installed P5 on a 1400 Mhz Intel P-IV w/ 1GB memory, 240 GB disk and W2K Pro SP2 - with Poser 4 installed on it - all on the C drive. P5 is extremely slow (I am not referring to renders, etc - just going around the menus). The P4 renderer under P5 is about 3 times slower than P4 running on an identical machine next to this one. I have not found any references in the manuals to "performance".

It does not help that P5 also has some SERIOUS ISSUES with it's user interface, namely "FOCUS" functionality. I'm posting a gneral bug and in-depth FACE ROOM review within the next hour here on R'Osity about this. -Tim PS> Sharen, also look for a post sometime tonight especially for you. (ooo-ahhh) Just need to do my review/bug report and get something to eat.

A review is NOT a bug report.

So what about if you have poser 4 on C and poser 5 on D? Since that's what I had intended doing, I'd be interested to hear from anyonewho's done it. mac

HURRH?? Don't worry Jeff ... there will be two clearly defined sections, or even two seperate posts. Operative word being AND.
