I installed P5 yesterday on a Pentium 4, 1400 Mhz, 1 GB RAMBUS memory, 2 x 120 GB disk, Windows 2K Pro Service Pack 2. The machine also has P4 installed on it. When I bring up P5, it takes about 1 minute to fully load. Then it is just plain slow - and I am not talking about rendering (which is also slow) - just going through the menus and from room to room. For example changing the default opening figure in the Pose Room to texture shaded takes about 15 seconds. I actually checked the manual for "performance" information, but found nothing. I am assuming this has got to be some stupid configuration issue on my part, or everyone would be complaining about this. Any ideas? BTW, under EULA is a P5 license upgraded from P4 considered to be the SAME license? Can I run P4 and P5 simultaneously on two machines on a LAN [without a firewall]? Thanks - would like to get back to P5 here! Lou
