Subject: Poser works in Mac OS X 10.2 Classic Environment!

Just discovered from a message thread that Poser now works in the latest OS X Classic Environment. If you haven't upgraded to OS X 10.2 you might want to reconsider it if you're tired of having to boot into OS 9 to run Poser. Besides Jaguar is fantastic! :-)

True, OSX rocks the house, but the ProPack does not work under OSX so you are forced to work only in Poser4 for final output, or just import the models as OBJ and that is a pain in the butt. In other words, we Mac users are no better off than we were before. LOL

Not sure what you mean. ProPac seems to work just fine in OS X 10.2 (Jaguar). Are you running the latest version of the Mac OS? :-)

Hello all... Concerning the latest Poser 4 problem with OS X: Poser 4.0.3 and Poser Pro pack seem to work just fine in my Jaguar configuration (in Classic mode). PurpleHayes

Yeah, Poser with pro pack runs fine in classic mode, but the plug ins do not, and that is the key functionality for me. The plug ins only work with the Lightwave and C4D when running under OS9.

There was an open question in the macintosh forum about whether ProPack could render animations with QT6, which is included in 10.2. I know it can with poser 4.0.3, but a ProPack animator might want to step up to the podium and say yes or no.

From what I can tell from that forum ProPack and QT6 and Mac OS 9.0.3 don't work together. Not clear (to me anyway) what the story is with 9.2.2 or OS X classic.

I had a contributor for the Renderosity Video loop who sent his stuff in using MPEG4 from QT6. I installed QT6 on a machine that had OS 8.6, converted it to "animation" compression, and then transferred it to my primary machine (I didn't have QT6 on that). No problems there.

Before they made me they broke the mold!
