Personally I like the idea of the spherical head, the only problem I see is knowing where to apply particular colors, maybe if we(the users) could select the groups by color while in uvmapper and have them labled so we might know where the eyes,nose,ears.ect..ect.. Looks great tho! I have never seen the uvmap to any of the animals so I may just be babbleing for nothing.. :O) Sprout
If you are handy with a morphing program (or have Surface Suite) you can distortion morph the tex to match to template. I did an paste of the front & side pics & airbrushed the seam, then stretched to fit. I agree those stretch marks are nasty. Good things take time. Like the idea of sperical mapped bigface lion.

heyas; okay, decision time. i found that if you spherical map the heads, you can get an 'unwrapped' head skin with little distortion. however, this may be a bit odd to try to paint on. (see the picture inset for the spherical head, it's the thing sitting over the skin, there.) OR, you can make do with the frontal lion face, which may show some pixel stretching at the sides. which one do ya want?
