Subject: How many different ways can you make the daz dragon look???

droyd ( ) posted Sat, 07 September 2002 at 9:14 PM · edited Sun, 01 December 2024 at 3:06 PM

Hi dragon owners. I haven't gotten the full version of the dragon yet but I'm sure I will. I was wondering if those of you who do might post a few pictures here. I'd like to see how many different looks the dragon can have. Really spin those dials and let's see what happens. I'm sure others who haven't bought it yet would like to see how versatile it is too! Thanks in advance.

Here is a smaller version of my image "They Do Exist!!" Here I used a lot of the face morphs, with the body morphs tone and heavy. Also I've used the detaling morphs for the back spikes, head spikes, and claws as well as added more head spikes and tail bludgon spikes ;) I think he's cute (and yes, his name is Spike *giggle*) For those interested, he's holding up a cute little fairy (at full Vicki height by the way to show just how large the dragon comes in!)

If there are interests in it. I wouldn't mind doing some.

Hi.... Can we please call the new Dragon the Millenium Dragon and the older one the Daz Dragon? Since we already have hundreds of files in the market-places and free-stuffs of a few dozen forums for the Daz Dragon, under that name, it is pre-empted. Even if Daz pulls it and no longer supported it, it is pre-empted. The new Dragon needs a new name. Maleficent, Millificent, or MillieD, or Draco2K, or something. New. Carolly

This is still very much a work in progress, but I'm comfortable enough with it to show it here in the forum. The work is entitled 'Despair', and is rendered in Vue d'Esprit 4. Each dragon was posed and saved individually in Poser, as I seem to have crosstalk problems even using Nerd's EMC Fixer. The individual PZ3 files were then imported into Vue and placed. Postwork is being done in Photoshop. Not everyone rejoices when a dragon is slain... CT

Been doing a little playing of my own... Vue 4.1 render, MilDragon and Michael 2; created while doing some testing.

CromeTiger,
Just as an FYI, I posted a "MilDragon Null" on my website [rbtwhiz.com] a few minutes ago... you can find it in the downloads (down pointing arrow) section of the site.

Nice wyrm, rbtwhiz! The slavering drool is well-depicted. We're definitely going to need more texture variety, beyond simple hue shifts, although I have to admit the quality of DAZ's textures will be hard to top.

I'm impressed... but then I'm easily impressed by terrific work and talented people.

Wow! These are beautiful images. Thanks for sharing them. I am curious, tiamatdx, how are you creating the purplish magic in your image? Thanks! Jay

tiamatdx ( ) posted Tue, 10 September 2002 at 6:19 AM

jaybutton it's the smoke effect in eyecandy 4, a filter for photoshop.

Thanks, tiamatdx. Eyecandy has been on my wishlist. Looks like I need to get it. Jay

I've had the dragon for a few days now and using it in Poser 5. Works great. I am making 7-8 "species" that I'll post headshots of here in one composite pic. Done the green "common" dragon and am working on a snub-snout rock dragon. These dragons are being created for an ambitious printed comic book. Alduin dor Lammoth
