These are my settings in the hair room. I must point out that after saving this file as another name Poser 5 suddenly displayed in the document window much more hair but went back to display it like this after some seconds.

These is the result. Even when I pulled all the hair down when styling, at 4000 strands I should be getting something fuller, right?

heya Mitch, I havent order P5 yet. But I try to see and hear as many opinions & images before deciding. So thanks for posting this.

Oh here, I was able to reproduce the strange hair raising hiccup when saving the file as another name. It seems like the hair gets deselected, and the current group becomes no_name. Once I click back on the hair it looks back to look like my first screen.

The top hair's going through her head (that's why she has hair coming out under her chin. This happened to me too. To get this to look the way you want it you'll probably have to create a few groups - maybe one for each left and right on top that you can pull to the side and down, then one more going around the sides which you can pull down like you have it here. If you've got the hair on a skull cap, the skull cap may be sitting too low as well.

The model I'm using is Posette. I selected faces directly from her skull to shape the whole scalp in one group. I see I should have been more creative and divide the scalp in groups. Another problem I had was when I was styling the hair by pulling it down it was going thru the head, specially the top ones. Is there a way to prevent the hairs to cross the head by using collision detection while styling? That would help a lot.

RayTraz, in my opinion Poser 5 is great! I've played with similar plugins for 3D Studio MAX and it is amazing that Poser 5 has come up with all these high end features. Like every software it takes time to master plus bugs are bound to show up with all the millions of combinations of hardware and drivers in people's computer, this is Poser 5 but the ammount of new stuff is so vast it feels like a whole new software. The important thing is that Curious Labs is working hard in updating the software and getting rid of bugs. As long as I see service paks and fixes taking care of bugs that people find I'll feel like the money I'm giving Curious Labs for my upgrade is money well invested.

Post 3 reminds me of one of the "Rocky Horror Picture Show" characters. (Rif-Raf? or something like that?) :)

If you have done dynamics and then save the manual says you need to redo the dynamics. Same applies to clothe. This is standard in most highend 3d apps I own. Ron

One other thing. Before you do the dynamics save your hair. Ron
