Greetings. I am one of those who are cosidering buying P5, but all the posts about problems and missing stuff are beginning to scare me. So I had the idea for this post: would you people who bought it sumarize what kind of problem you ran into, along with OS and hardware congig? Guess it will not only be usefull for the people willing to buy it, but also to those who are in charge of fixing these bugs...

Hi hermith :) I can't help you with bug reports! P5 has been stable for me across the board. It's only locked up 2 times but that was user error LOL I didn't wait for it to finish what it was doing and I clicked something else and it didn't like that! LOL BUT.. it still let me save my scene and exit the program... didn't even have to control, alt, del... There are a few files missing from the content cd but they'll be up for download soon I'm sure and there's so much to play with I haven't even loaded any of the second cd in anyway. I'm having a ball with it... buy it... I don't think you'll be sorry at all :) Running Win XP pro, PIII 1.3 celeron, 1gb sdram and nvidia 64mb vid card Sassy ::loves P5 even though the cats won't eat for awhile!::

Here's a link to the thread summarizing my initial experience with Poser 5:

Works great for me. Needed a few reboots, but that was all. I'm on an amd 1.4 with 512 ram. Can't be happier.

Please send tech requests/bug reports to tech@curiouslabs.com. Posting them here does not guarantee that our QA department will see these issues. Anthony Hernandez Curious Labs

no showstoppers here though there is a propensity to hang for long minutes when you do something extremely ram intensive but dont rush it and it'll grind through. I've had 1 freezeup but only becouse I tried to rush it by changing rooms in the middle of a process.

Hiya, I've got a P3-450 on Win98SE with 384MB of RAM and an ATI Rage Fury 32MB video card. I haven't been able to run it yet! I had another thread here asking about the requirements and there are others running on slower processors, but I blue screen every time - even after 3 reinstalls. (I've sent an email to tech supp, but haven't heard back yet). Other than that I don't have any problems with it.. :) Cheers, Bonzai Gopher

Its been stable here and has functions of the top apps I own. Very impressed so far. No crashes or freezes. Running 1.2gig AMD 512ram, geforce3 ti500 home built on Win2000pro sp3. Ron
