Subject: Poser 5 and skin tex's

Ok, how do I put new skin tex's on figures? Did the material room thing the image map node and nuttin happened. Used the p4 render engine like da book says. Just keep gettin the white body no tex render. Also my first render in P5 using a mish mash of this and that. thanks

Which channel did you plug the image map node into? It belongs in the diffuse channel. Also, make sure you do the same thing for every material on the body, and that you haven't accidentally plugged it into, for example, the reflection channel or something. Explain step-by-step what you did, and maybe we can spot what you're missing.

You mean them little blue and green wires? Ok Now I see what I'm doin worg gotta plug the darn thing into the big box. Ok and for each part like head and so on. Gotcha now. I read that whole section 3 or 4 times about tex and such and couldnt find anything. I did get it to work once but being lazy didnt remem what the heck I did. Thanks I see the problem now.

Do you have to set each body material one-at-a-time or is there some way to apply all body/head textures with a few clicks? Or is it just easier to create a MAT?

Nope, you can set the first material, then Right click on the selection bar and choose "Apply to All."

Once I have some time to play, I'm going to put a page together of P5 tips.
