Gimme gimme

jrizal ( ) posted Mon, 16 September 2002 at 1:25 PM

It's still in beta form, judging from all the bugs being reported in this forum.

jchimim ( ) posted Mon, 16 September 2002 at 1:34 PM

Mine should be waiting when I get home today. :)

c1rcle ( ) posted Mon, 16 September 2002 at 1:37 PM

how do you blow raspberries on here? I hope it's stable for you jchimim & lots of fun.

jchimim ( ) posted Mon, 16 September 2002 at 1:52 PM

Keeping my fingers crossed, it'll be at least as stable as P4 was when I had it on a win'95 machine, pentium II, and 64M of RAM...

gaz170170 ( ) posted Mon, 16 September 2002 at 1:53 PM

I still want it, and raspberries back at you c`rcle :)

c1rcle ( ) posted Mon, 16 September 2002 at 2:00 PM

was blowing raspberries at jchimim for getting it before me but I'm actually hoping it doesn't get delivered tomorrow, I won't be around to accept it & if it's left on my doorstep I'll probably never see it, I've got dodgy neighbours too, 1 set of destroyed pedigree papers & various other items is enough to convince me she'd not bat an eyelid at destroying my copy of poser5.

Jackson ( ) posted Mon, 16 September 2002 at 2:06 PM

how do you blow rasberries on here? I don't know about Rosity, but here's how Calvin does it: "THBPBPTHPT!" Page 18, The Calvin and Hobbes Lazy Sunday Book Myself, I like the way they did it in Bloom County better. But I can't find those books right now.

Nosfiratu ( ) posted Mon, 16 September 2002 at 2:09 PM

Just keep in mind that "bugs" fall into three categories: 1) Operator error - there are some things in P5 that just plain won't work unless you do 'em right. Read your manual! 2) Individual problems - Some people have issues that only occur on their machines. A unique problem may or may not be a software problem. 3) Genuine product issues. Ideally, the product would work perfectly for everyone right out of the box. However, it is 100% impossible to test all possible hardware/software configurations, so it's 100% impossible to 100% guarantee that things will be 100% smooth. But we're doing the best we can! Apologies to you c1rcle. I take all those raspberries back (and there were quite a few). BUT I STILL WANT IT!!!!

c1rcle ( ) posted Mon, 16 September 2002 at 2:18 PM

lol well Anthony I 100% guarantee you I want poser5 soon. no worries gaz I'll just wipe all the spit off lol :)

c1rcle ( ) posted Mon, 16 September 2002 at 2:20 PM

ps don't it make you feel good to know the first thing most people are going to do is open up the bit you worked on, the manual?

jchimim ( ) posted Mon, 16 September 2002 at 2:26 PM

And I'll happily take your rasberrys, as long as I get my toy. :) Anthony, lots of folks have been using the "car" analogy in complaints about things not working perfectly. A better analogy would be car accessory, like a stereo. Imagine trying to make a car stereo that would install in any vehicle (from a Yugo up through a Jaguar) easily and work perfectly the first time. Plus, knowbody is really good at tuning it yet... You guys are doing a great job!

C1rcle, aren`t you sucking up to Andrew a little too much now? I see your game... ;)

nikitacreed ( ) posted Mon, 16 September 2002 at 2:31 PM

"don't it make you feel good to know the first thing most people are going to do is open up the bit you worked on, the manual?"

LOL! I had to laugh at that Rob. I think one of the problems that some people are having is BECAUSE they didn't open Anthony's wonderfully written manual. snicker

gaz170170 ( ) posted Mon, 16 September 2002 at 2:33 PM

Sorry, not Andrew, Anthony...DOH!

c1rcle ( ) posted Mon, 16 September 2002 at 2:40 PM

gaz it doesn't work on him ;) yeah you're right nikita but I'll be doing just that to start with, while my pc cleans itself up ready for poser5, I've got loads to move off the harddrive to cd (30 cd's at last count) not all poser stuff tho.

gaz170170 ( ) posted Mon, 16 September 2002 at 2:42 PM

No harm in trying though, eh?

2002LaughingVulcan ( ) posted Mon, 16 September 2002 at 2:53 PM

I am still waiting for the Mac version.... PLEASE Hurry! :(

c1rcle ( ) posted Mon, 16 September 2002 at 3:44 PM

Nosfiratu ( ) posted Mon, 16 September 2002 at 4:30 PM

jchimim ( ) posted Mon, 16 September 2002 at 4:43 PM

What's a manual? WE DON'T NEED NO STINKIN' MANUAL!!!

Little_Dragon ( ) posted Mon, 16 September 2002 at 5:55 PM

THPFFT!
THPFFT!
SNORT! And that's my final word on the subject.

DragonWalk ( ) posted Mon, 16 September 2002 at 5:57 PM

Why is everything so chauvenisticly unfair to the lovely female of the 3D world....even Curiouslabs now....why could you not call this manual a womanual??!! Better yet...a personual!! Lots of women buy poser too ya know! Cheers!

Ironbear ( ) posted Mon, 16 September 2002 at 9:17 PM

And then there's the old fashioned non HTML way to blow a raspberry: ;]p~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"I am a good person now and it feels... well, pretty much the same as I felt before (except that the headaches have gone away now that I'm not wearing control top pantyhose on my head anymore)"
