This is my first attempt at a full scene render (pardon my amateurishness). I'm quickly falling in love with the Material Room, but, wo boy!, is it complicated. I am dissappointed with the conforming clothes. You can see tears at the arm pits and where the t-shirt meets the shorts. I had to do a lot of work to get that meeting area that good. Time to play with the Cloth Room. ;)

All in all, as a hobbyist, I'm impressed by the new features and quality. Maybe even I can start doing some more professional work in time with Poser 5.

Looks good. I can see that we are all going to have to work that neck line. its either postwork or its extra tweaking in the mat room.

Thanks! I swear that he was wearing a choker during render. :) That's why I opted to make the texture templates for the P5 figures - to get some control over the texture and get rid of the default ones. I hope this isn't something that needs to be figured out in the Materials Room (darn shaders). That could take months... Kuroyume

Offhand, is the hair supposed to glow like that? The P5 hair renders I've seen look remarkable except for their flatness of lighting.

were you rendering in draft mode? then uncheck rear facing polygons.

The effect is 'a sunny day', so there is a lot of light. The hair is black roots with bleached-blonde tips. Yes, it was draft firefly. I'll check the settings. There is a long way to go before all of this makes sense. Nearly read the manual - still have to thoroughly read the Materials and rendering sections. Kuroyume

You get that line at the neck when you apply the texture from the face room. Apply the shape only to keep the default maps (Which are excellent). -Jeff
