Subject: Confused about MAT files

Can anyone give me a quick rundown on MAT files, and how they are used to hold texture information? (Poser 4 Pro Pack) I was reading a tutorial, and it told how to apply the textures to your figure, and add the figure to the library in the "poses" folder, thus saving the applied textures. I did this, but apparently the textures were not saved, because when I loaded a new Michael, and hit the button (with the new applied texture), he did not change from his original base texture. If I saved the applied textures in the "character" section, the textures did remain as desired, but I believe that creates cr2 files, which cannot be distributed...am I right? ...or am I just totally confused?

Rawnrr only some cr2 files can not be distributed. For example Viky2, Mike2, Morphing cloths and Stefy. When in question with a Daz product they do an excellent job of telling you what is okay. If you are doing Mat pose files I highly recommend JHoagland's MAT Pose Applier program. It is excellent! Save a lot of time in hand editing them and you avoid the possiblity of distributing a cr2 that should not be. Ron

Hahaha...unfortunatly it is textures for Mike and Vicky which I am working on :) So without this program, it would involve hand editing to get the textures in the file huh? Hmmmm Know of any good tutorials for this? apparently the one I was looking at was neglegent in some of this information. Rawn

Included in the dozens of tools in CR2Edit is a suite of PZ2 creation ones. In addition to those shown in the picture, there are tools for automated MOR and dial-hiding PZ2 files.
