I want you all to tell me what you think of this model -Gabe-

Rork1973 ( ) posted Wed, 18 September 2002 at 5:08 AM

Honestly ? The best model I've ever seen in your shots....better lock her up in the cellar, she's got natural beauty. :)

Misha883 ( ) posted Wed, 18 September 2002 at 6:59 AM

2nd shot is fantastic. Looks like a playful model that would get into the spirit of the session.

PunkClown ( ) posted Wed, 18 September 2002 at 7:16 AM

She looks like "a natural" to me Gabe, seems very comfortable with the camera...I like her smile and eyes in your first shot, she seems to have a bit of a mischievious nature in that one! :-)>

I was thinking of the exact same thing, Mich. But I wasn't brave enough to say it... (*

Caledonia ( ) posted Wed, 18 September 2002 at 9:09 AM

Please don't keep me in the cellar!!! Mich and Star you are correct in your guesses. Thanks guys, you made me blush.

PunkClown ( ) posted Wed, 18 September 2002 at 9:13 AM

So I was right about that mischevious nature! C'mon, let her out of the cellar now! Cal's way too georgeous to hide away! ;-)>

starshuffler ( ) posted Wed, 18 September 2002 at 9:25 AM

I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT!!! hahahahaha... Very very beautiful. 'Nuff said. :-) (*

I have known Catherine or (Caladonia) for way many years & have shot her casualy over those years a few times, but We never did anything quite like this. I think it's funny, because I want to redo these with the right make up and her bagpipes. All we had was a basic stage make up kit that did not have her acual skin tone, no lipsticks, one dry eye liner, old blush that was clumpy & neither of us really sure on how to use or aply it... As for her being a natural, Catherine has always been amazing at comunication through her eyes, I remember when I used to go to her parents house, and she would have a complete conversation with her 2 sisters with out even one word being used. That used to freak me out. But it is amazing how some one can speak in silance. My 2 favorate are the first and last shots. The entire shoot was done in my living room with 3 cheepy Smith victor lights, and a black cloth backdrop. So when we are all in NYC for the show, I may atart trying to get some of the other forum members in a make shift studio, and seeing if we can't get some really good shots for a forum member portrait section. What do you all think? -GABE-

That sounds kewl! (But I'm kinda miffed because I can't afford to go to NYC and see this whole thing happen if it does.) (*

gsalas ( ) posted Wed, 18 September 2002 at 1:40 PM

starshuffler ( ) posted Wed, 18 September 2002 at 2:03 PM

Great portrait shots Gabe and with so little equipment ! If I had formed a picture of Caledonia it certainly wasnt this one. Got to vote #2 my fav. just love the lighting and the pose. Getting the UK together might be fun :O) But feeling a bit sad for PC all alone down there, but I wont miss any more shots of him, LOL, gave me a right fright the last one ROTFLMHO :O)

Very Nice! What a beautiful lady you are Cal. And what a fine job you have done here Gabe. My only suggestion would be to keep the house a little warmer. Poor Cal has goose bumps all over in those first two shots ;-) BTW... Simple lighting set ups still seem to me to usually produce the best results

Slynky ( ) posted Fri, 20 September 2002 at 10:05 AM

oh yeah, i forgot, aside from the wierd bloody gash on the last shot, Cal is a hottie, heh heh. ...well she is

randyrives ( ) posted Sat, 21 September 2002 at 3:35 PM

Great shots!! My Fav is #1 just love that look. Cal is a great model, lots of expression and very beautiful to boot.
