Vairesh's hair model "Nicole" contains both a scalp cap and the full hair. The scalp cap is available for both Posette and Victoria. It has no bangs and is "cut" above the ears. I found it to be a great starting place for making Poser 5 hair and you can spawn the new hair as a prop attached to the scalp cap. The model is available here at the Renderosity store for $9.99. By the way, the Nicole hair is really nice for that price, anyway.

Here is a hair object I created using the scalp. It took less than 10 minutes.

I'm not sure how well this would work for dynamic hair generation since it isn't flush with the scalp, but Lourdes Mercado has a skullcap prop for Posette at CG-Fantasy.

This is one hair group. That's why I had to keep it short. Otherwise, she would like like Cousin It.

Another good place to get scalp objects are the Neftis packages. The skullcaps are high poly, and have pretty good hairlines. I think they're on sale right now. I got the 2 for Mike the same day P5 came. Best money I've spent in weeks.
