Subject: Install folder help.

Can anyone help me with how to create an install folder for a figure? I have the handy guide from the merchant section explaining how to set up a folder from c:runtime/etc, etc. but I am unclear on how these paths are created prior to creating the new c:runtime folder. I set up my figure and had textures in a separate folder (not the poser 4 textures folder). I am thinking I need to reset up all textures and the figure exactly as it would need to be to work in poser 4. I can find the .obj and .cr2, but I can't find the .rsr. I have figured out that the .png is probably the same thing, (It works at least!) I am also trying to get my figure to work in poser 5, but I think I have to get it to work first in poser 4. I have no way to test the install/unzip procedure as I only have one computer. Can I install Poser 4 again somehow so that I can use it for testing? Do poser pro pack set up figures work with poser 4? Basically I need lots of help. Is there a tutorial somewhere I can get? The install faq from this site seems good but I think it assumes that I know what I am doing, and I don't. I hope future figures are easier. Best regards!

If the zip file is set up with the paths already in it, just unzip it to XYZ:Program FilesCurious LabsPoser 5; if not, the internal file structure for Poser 5 is identical to Poser 4. You are correct, the PNG in Poser 5 serves the same purpose as the old .rsr file; however, Poser 5 will read .rsr files from Poser 4. Note that you don't need both a PNG and an .rsr for a library file. Just delete the larger of the two. Right now, the Install feature of Poser 5 isn't fully supported. Curious Labs hopes to correct this very soon.
