Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 27 1:15 pm)
They are nice. They aren't quite as good as V and M. Less polygons and morph targets, but a step above Dork and Posette. The kids, how does one say it, suck. They seem to be about 5 or 6 y/o and there are no intermediate stage figures (adolescent, older pre-teen). The worst part is that the figure settings (from the menu) don't work. So, one cannot get Don or Will to look like an adolescent, unless you like an ungangly head size and pointy shoulders. Yes, the toes are posable in P5 figures. Still, you'll probably get better characters from the Mil. Kids than from those in P5 AFAIAC. Kuroyume

You can't get Judy to look like a kid? I'm still screwing with this one, but it didn't take long to get this far.C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the

I think the Millenium Kids are the best child meshes that I have seen. also they are loaded with morph targets. The only thing is because they are such a hi res mesh you get a big mem and system hit loading them. I have them all bought from DAZ3D.com most of my work in the gallerys is with the Mill Characters. Well worth the investment.

For those of you that have Poser 5, a few questions:
How are the default figures? Are the adult figures comparable to Victoria and Mike in terms of number of built-in morph targets, mesh density, etc.? How about the children figures? Are they an adequate replacement for the Millenium Kids? Can you create preteen (and thereabouts) characters with them, or are they limited to the 5-6-year old range?
I ask because I need to create a new character--a 9-year old girl--for a project I am working on. I was considering buying the Millenium Kids, but I may put the money into Poser 5 if it would serve as a suitable substitute, since that dynamic cloth room could also come in useful on this project.
Also, I have seen people hint that the Poser 5 figures have poseable toes... is that true? Do they work well?
