Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 10 10:00 pm)
Hi Rob Firstly thanks for all your hard work on the Gypsy Rose pack. I had an error about not finding the .obj .. Found that by putting the cr2 created by objaction mover in the geometry folder into the character folder everything worked a treat Using Poser 4.03 and mover 1.01 Keep up the good work PaulC

I have gotten a few emails from folks who have downloaded my GypsyRose set from free stuff and are having a problem decoding the files or getting the cr2 to load if they do get the file decoded. More often than not they get a range check error message or wrong seed file error or something like that when they try to decode the pcf files.I am still working on tracking this down, but what it appears to be at the moment is a difference in object files.
Apparantly there was an earlier version of the Victoria Clothing Pak 1 and the object files are not the same. There is a patch that will update the old version to the new one.
If you are experiencing problems, check the object files you have in the geometry folder, the file info on them should be as follows:
blBikiniTop.obj 259kb 6/14/2000
blBikiniBottom.obj 180kb 6/14/200
If this does not match the file info for the object files you have, you may need to apply the patch in order to use the GypsyRose set. You will find the patch in the Victoria Clothing Pak 1 section at DAZ, the following link should get you there:

Please be aware, I have not had it confirmed as yet that this will fix the problem. However, the problem the patch addresses is very similar to the problem folks have been experiencing.
If you apply the patch and find that it works to solve this problem, please let me know so that I can make others aware that this is the solution.
Also, if anyone is aware of other reasons why Objaction Mover would not decode the same pcf files for some folks while doing it for others, please let me know. I have also tried using RTEncoder to encode the object files with one individual having this problem, and they experienced the same problem with it as they did with Objaction Mover. I have asked him to try the patch, but have not heard back if that worked.
Again, I apologize for the headache and inconvenience this has caused for some of you.
Oh, and one more note. Please, remember before downloading the GypsyRose set that you will need the Victoria Clothing pak 1 to use it. It is not a stand alone package.
Thanks,
Rob
