hi as i assign parts to parents, i notice my part "moves" a bit. why does this happen, and how can i remedy this?

heyas; this happens sometimes; i think it has to do with the location of the prop origin. you can't stop it from happening, really; you just need to tweak the positioning after you parent the object. or, you could parent the object first, THEN move it into place, but that's not the standard procedure.

and if i save it as a smart prop, will it be in the corrected spot when it loads, or what? how will poser handle that???

heyas; yes, once you parent it, and (if necessary) reposition it, then it will be in the right spot from then on. if you save it as a smart prop, it will load into the correct spot.

this is what i was working on.... there is a conforming suit under the spiked suit. i wanted to parent one conforming suit to another, but joint parameters are over my head, and it just wasnt happening. i then tried to parent the seperate parts (after a spawn props) to the underlying suit. again, no go.... i already had the conforming suit set up as props, so i went on and parented the props to the props, avoiding conflicting joint params... i still wish it didnt move as i set the parents, as now i must use props instead of conforming suits....... oh well......
