Entirely in Bryce with the exception of the sky which is... Universe, of course. A little Photoshop here and there, and that's it. I didn't want to make another biped creature that lived off somewhere on a distant planet which had guns and humanoid features because I consider that bad imagination. So yeah, landing on planet X, the lights of the space ship find this perfect sphere, metallic looking. The sphere is the most perfect shape in the Universe, but it never appears in perfect proportions anywhere, unless it's made by someone. hint hint. and I gave it all away :) E~ 8400444 mihnea@freewriters.ca

Interesting pic. The starfield is marvelous but the moons (or planets) look inside the atmosphere; some haze or ambience change. Is that the ship entering the atmosphere in the upper right? You might want to bring it closer for a better "feel". If it's a star, well, er, something is amiss. PS I once (many hard drive crashes ago) had universe and another starfield program. At the time, they were freeware, any links or ideas? Thanks. PPS I'll have to check out your "freewriters" site more thoroughly when I have time. Having been a published author, I keep feeling the need to get back to my roots. Damn these cool CG programs that have addicted me like Afghan opium...

Sorry to be pedantic, the most perfect sphere is found in the shape of a neutron star, which is naturally occuring. Anything man-made is billons of time more crude in comparison. ;)
