Subject: Zorro & Cheerleader - 2 different projects - need help

dcasey0284 ( ) posted Thu, 26 September 2002 at 2:30 AM Ā· edited Tue, 26 November 2024 at 10:49 AM

I'm working on 2 different promotional projects and I'm looking for clothing and props for (1) a Zorro-like character and, (2) a cheerleader character. Any suggestions you guys could provide would be appreciated. I'm surprised no one's created a cheerleader outfit for Victoria. I thought DAZ would've made one for it's new football set. Maybe it's in the works. Thanks in advance! Doc

For the Zorro character, I'm assuming you're using Mike as the model. If so, go to PoserWorld and get their poet/pirate pak for Mike. Retexture it in black and you have the basic outfit. Add the PhilC cape he just released and again, texture in black. The domino mask can be painted right on the skin texture. The hat's a little trickier; about the closest thing I can think of is the Latinman hat for the P4Guy from PoserWorld (on CD 2, I think). Rescale and retexture all black, and there you are. Cheerleader? Someone did a cheerleader outfit for Vicky some time ago. I don't work with that model that often, so I don't remember who, sorry.

Also at poserworld is a bandit mask for mike, that would do quite well for Zorro.

What kind of cheerleader are you looking for T&A professional or collegiate/high school type?

How about a T&A high school type?

Here's one that PhilC did for P3 http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/%7Epcooke/graphics/examples.htm Here's one I did in P4 http://www2.gasou.edu/gsucheer/2002_GSU_Uniform_01.jpg Hiram, Down South we don't think like that ... at least not in public.

Thanks very much, guys. I'll check these out. And being from the great state of Georgia, BAM, I know you're right. I'm looking more for the Dallas Cowboys type.

Hey, BAM, I just checked out your P4 version. That would work. Is that done with existing clothing? I think I've seen the pom-poms somewhere too.

Zorina wonders how hard it could be! This old character of mine was done using mostly available props, though the hat I had to make...a pretty easily done shape.

My P4 one was done with P4 skirt and vest and is on one of the P4 default characters P4 Women's Vest with transparency map around the abdomen and the appropriate texture map P4 Skirt with appropriate texture map If these would be of use to you I'd be happy to email you the maps I own Vicki but didn't develop the uniform for a number of reasons including I'm not very good at 3D Relatively large memory footprint Millenium characters have. Crosstalk preventing me from putting multiple figures based on Vicki in a scene. I don't specifically recall, however, I don't believe she came with comparable clothing from which I could figure out how to make an apppropriate skirt and top.

Fox, it's a good image, but if one is really pushing for styling, everything is in the details, and you just can't get those from working with the available materials. For example, Zorro would probably wear gloves... but not just gloves, more like gauntlets -- and the place to find something like that would be at (of all places) Animotions, where you could take the Captain America gloves, retexture them, and voila. The pirate outfit at PoserWorld has the right boots as well as the right shirt styling to carry off the look in its entirety. It's really all in the details.
