Is there a way to import paths from adobe illustrator into Carrara. I have tired to export paths as .DXF. Carrara will see it but when I trie to load it nothing appears after the first screen. It just goes back to Carrara with no dialog and no paths. Can you save or export from Ilustrator?

You can import Illustrator files into the spline modeler directly. When you are in the model room go to the file menu and select import. Find the Illustrator file you want and a profile should be in the spline model room. The same process may work for the vertex modeller but I never used it. One note, I've only had success importing illustrator files that are no higher than 7.0 good luck memaci

YES, it worked... had to save it as 6.0. I did not know that you HAD to be in a modler directly. THANKS!!!!
