I have the Vicky 2 LoRes figure and am downloading the Mike and Steph versions at the moment! They're really great if your system is a low end one like mine, PentiumII 400mhz and only 128Ram. They render faster, can render more in one image and are great to work with. All the morphs are the same, you get the same results and they have the same names so any fc2 files or pz2 files for faces and body work on them. The only thing you can't use are morphs that are in .obj format. For such a low price they're definitely worth getting even if you have a better system you can always use them in the background to populate your scenes more. As for the reduced polys, I don't think they're that noticeable, especially when you use a medium-res texture map. If you have a look at my gallery, I've been using Vicky LoRes since I got her and I don't think there's any striking difference. Of course, I don't just render a close up of her left nostril or sth :) I was expecting a LoRes Mike from what Reba had said but had no idea Steph would be included so that was a great surprise. of course, I'm hoping that what this means is that Vicky 3 will be ready soon! Thanks Kalypso. It helped to see examples of a lo-res figure. There doesn't seem to be that many differences (well actually I couldn't tell at all LOL). Well - for $10 you can't go wrong - so I'm off to grab it. BTW I loved the image of Dusty - why haven't you got this in the Marketplace - I'd pay for it in a second! She's gorgeous!

The low res files are fantastic... Just put this in your head... if you're doing an extreme close up of the person... then use the regular file, but if you're showing a full body shot... then the low res is the way to go. I've been using the low res vicki a lot since it came out... for my style if art, you'd never know.I came, I rendered, I'm still broke.
I've used V-Lo extensively, as well, and can highly recommend the low-res figures for animation work.
Take note that the low-res figures include the P4 variants, so you can dress them in Posette/P4 Male clothing if you haven't built up a wardrobe yet.
Here's one of my low-res Victoria characters:

Also, if you're going to clothe Vicky or Mike then the lo-res is helpful in that you won't need to show too much skin and save on memory. Can you guess who the lo-res Mikes are and who regular Mike is?? guarie, thanks for your comments on Dusty :) She's been an ongoing project that I was too lazy to finish, her texture map is almost done save for the teeth, tongue, nails, lashes parts. Maybe I should wrap her up and put her in the MP soon.Attached Link: http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=253900&Start=1&Sectionid=1&WhatsNew=Yes
You guys were right. The LoRes Stephanie is cool to use and as the attached render shows, you'd never know she was a LoRes figure. Thanks Daz! Kalypso - my pleasure! :) Dusty is a stunner and I for one am waiting with bated breath for the finished product. I'll be first in line. But if you need any beta testers ;) LOL!This site uses cookies to deliver the best experience. Our own cookies make user accounts and other features possible. Hey guys - just a quick question. What's the difference between the normal and reduced resolution figures of Steph and Mike? I've just noticed them on sale for around $10 and it looks like a good deal, but I don't know what it will mean to my images if the figure is a lo-res one. I already have the full figure of Mike 2, and was wondering if it was worth getting it for Stephanie. Or should I wait until next pay and get the full version of Steph? Thanks in advance.
