cant seem to find the info in the book. I want to use all my daz etc stuff in p5. can anyone help?

You can link to your old Poser 4 runtime folder and use them immediately without reinstalling them. Just double click on the "folder up" symbol in the library until you reach the top level. (You will see a "Poser 5" and a "download" folder) Click on the plus sign to add a new runtime. Point to your Poser 4 runtime in the dialogue box that appears and it will be added as a new runtime. You can of course re-install everything into your Poser 5 runtime as well. I will do that, but it will take some time... Until then, I access the old stuff via the method above.

I wouldn't install anything in your P5 runtime unless you are planning on backing the whole thing up, as the P5 runtime gets uninstalled if you ever have to uninstall the program better to put stuff in a new runtime(easy to create) or the downloads runtime which doesn't get uninstalled.

True... If I had to uninstall Poser 5, I would copy the runtime first! I suppose renaming the runtime before running the uninstall utility would keep it on your disk as well. I prefer to keep everything in the same runtime to avoid having to switch between them when working. But that's just my preference :-) The new library structure in Poser 5 gives everyone lots of opportunities to create their own way of working.
